Frequently Asked Questions

What’s Your Process Like?

My approach is focused, pragmatic, and influenced heavily by Apple’s internal process. I also draw upon diverse theoretical foundations, like Agile Development, the Lean Startup Method, and Mobile-First Design.

What Do You Charge?

My services are listed here. Per-hour rates vary based on the size of the client, and the type and duration of work involved. Please get in touch via email and set up a free initial consultation for a quote.

What’s Your Availability?

I am currently unavailable to take on new clients. Get in touch and I'll do my best to connect you with someone great.

Can You Design the App?

With pleasure! I’ll take your existing user research, wireframes, or mockups and turn them into a polished, intuitive user interface. Then, I’ll turn it into an app you’ll be proud to show off.

Are There Any Hidden Fees?

Nope! What you see is what you get. You can book me for as long as you need, and cancel at any time. I’ll never hit you with “change orders”, or recurring fees.

Do You Outsource?

I never outsource software development. All work is done personally by me, with the exception of some time-intensive tasks (e.g. icon design), which are billed separately at a lower rate.

What Tools Do You Use?

I prefer well-documented, established tools with large developer communities that are under active maintenance. Currently, my list includes Xcode, Cocoapods, TextMate, Rails, Resque, and Jekyll, among others.

Will You Work Onsite?

I’m always glad to spend time meeting face-to-face with my clients. Unfortunately, due to U.S. and New York State labor laws, I’m unable to spend the majority of my time working from your office.

What Are Your Hours?

I’m available from Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm Eastern Standard Time.
